Yun 800+ damage [1]




After a little more testing, this isn't close to Yun's maximum damage combo. I stumbled across an 835 version vs Gief and I'm certain even that can be improved. To be continued...

  1. But it's just so goshdarn hard to use. Yun isn't blatantly overpowered; goshdarn it, people using him lost the first-ever Arcade Edition tournament, dontcha know!

  2. open your eyes, with training top players can pull that off, anyways nerf or no nerf am down with yun, just have to work around it

  3. A lot of people don't seem to notice how much of this damage is from the double CH palms. Very nice exhibition Desk, and also a very nice instigator of arguments. :P

  5. DESK, I'm playing on my PS3 training mode with Yun in trying to at least get 2 hits of his kara move combo and I'm having a hard time doing it. Btw I'm using a d-pad. I don't know if arcade stick makes a difference. But If you can, could please upload a video with split screen of gameplay and your d-pad to see how the move is done while you commentate on what's to be taken notice and what mistakes people make in doing this kara movie combo. Thank you.

  6. Hey man, I don't use pad and I'm not sure how much good it would do to show my hands. Also, I don't do commentary ever, lol. Sorry.

    I would imagine that it's probably more difficult on pad because of the MK~MP. All I can say is, turn on inputs and make sure you never hit down-forward (this is how command grabs happen).

    To get used to the timing, activate genei jin and stand full screen away from the dummy. Then try to move across the screen only using kara palms. This will help you see exactly how far your moving. The aim, at first at least, should be to move as far forward as possible on every repitition. Hope that helps man.

  7. I there any reason why you couldn't use HP palms? I though MP and HP were identical in genei jin.

  8. I wouldn't like to commit and say I know they're 100% identical (i'm really not certain) but when I was learning, I found the M version easier. Possibly just because it punished me with a FA when I accidentally plinked the buttons. Forcing me to man up, lol.

  9. The frame data only lists three types of palm: regular, feint and EX, so it looks like they're identical. Just thinking that'd be a lot easier for pad, since HP is a shoulder button I think.

    @ bartholomu. Like jamheald says, you can probably just use whichever strength is easier for you to hit when doing the kara. Let me know if you get any further with it :)
