Don't worry, everything is fine.

So, I've been giving a lot of thought to new videos.

Basically, everything is going to be exactly the same. With exactly the same amount of combo/glitch vids, tutorial stuff and pointless 'look what I did!' nonsense but now and again I'm going to be doing extra vids on some non-fighting games that I'm interested in. It's not going to be bog-standard 'let's play!' stuff though (that you could find on 100'000 other youtube channels). I'm going to try to approach everything with a combovid style 'let's practice this for ages so I can get 10 seconds of footage' attitude. If you're subscribed purely for new fighting game stuff, feel free not to watch but I hope some of you will find it entertaining or at the very least, an interesting 2/3 minute distraction.

Since the awesome response I got when asking for new game suggestions on the last skullgirls vid, I think I'll probably do the exact same thing on some other actual fighting games too. So you might get some Mark of the Wolves, Guilty Gear, Primal Rage, Darkstalkers or Streets of Rage* combovid style content too.

Thanks for reading & subscribing. Feedback and possible random game suggestions are more than welcome.

*I did write that as a joke but the more I think about it the more it seems like an awesome idea.

PS. If this whole thing seems random, the point of this post was to address anyone who might be randomly thinking that I'll be putting less time into fighting games. I'll be playing exactly as much and making just as many vids, but now, when I'm playing other games, I might make vids for them too.

  1. I'd love to see some Streets of Rage 2 stuff! The soundtrack is too good. If you end up doing it, try to work in Axel's glitched Grand Uppercut (Forward, Forward, Back+B). It causes the move to come out but with backwards momentum. It looks pretty cool!

I'm definitely going to think about a possible SOR combovid

    2. You know, a Street of Rage 2 vid would be great to watch. If so, I hope you can use your musical talents on this, Desk. I'm thinking some kind of "Slow Moon" themed mix or something? Just food for thought. Can't wait to see your next work!

  2. Everything you make is legendary, I don't think you'd do wrong with anything. I for one would like more videos of you playing "bullet hell" games like this one.

    Desk #1!

  3. How about DMC3,4 and God of war combo vids? they are technically 'fighting games' just single player rather than versus

  4. I approve of DMC3 or 4 combo videos.
They've been done to death, but I'd love to see something original.
Finding some new glitches, doing some special runs, something...

    1. If we're going down that route, how about Viewtiful Joe? That game was pretty much made for people to show off. :P

    2. As long as he branches off into extra stylish hack n' slashes/ beat 'em ups, I've got no complaints.

  6. Desk, did you ever uploaded a vid or some kind of "confirmation" that the "Sako Infinite" in vsav would also work with Morrigan?

    Just as a reminder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv--bZBXQ8U

Has been like a year or two now but since you mentioned vsav in the list I might find hope on the arrival of the answer.
Would love to see it if you're doing it.

    1. Wow, that was ages ago, lol. I have no idea man, just looking through a couple of your vids it seemed like you'd be the man for the job if it is possible. I'll definitely try some stuff out if/when I decide to do a video on it though :)

  7. Very cool stuff. Do you play other Cave shmups like Guwange or Mushihime-Sama? Shmups from Raizing (Battle Garrega, Soukyu Gurentai, Dimahoo, ect.) or the Touhou series?

Since you mentioned Streets of Rage, maybe try combo vid stuff on other beat'em ups with complex systems/combos/ect like Guardian Heroes or Streets of Fury. Those two games I'm sure you can come up with awesome material.

    1. I played Mushi briefly, I really like it (that had a lot to do with how awesome the music was) but never put any time into it unfortunately.

Holy shit I'd never heard of streets of fury before, lol. I'm definitely getting the demo after seeing how it looks. Thanks for the heads up dude! :)
